Does it affect my site's performance?

Q. Does SentinelSecurity affect my site's performance?

A. SentinelSecurity is designed with performance in mind and has virtually no impact on your site's loading speed.

Impact on the Front End

Login security features only run on the login page (/wp-login.php or your custom URL). SentinelSecurity code does not execute on front-end pages visited by regular visitors.

As a result, it will not affect your Google PageSpeed Insights or Core Web Vitals scores.

When Diagnostic Features Run

Diagnostic features such as the HTTP Header Scan, REST API Scan, and Vulnerability Scan only run when an administrator manually initiates a scan. They do not run continuously in the background, so there is no ongoing server load.

File Integrity Monitoring (Pro)

The Pro version's File Integrity Monitoring runs on a schedule, but it uses WordPress's WP-Cron, so it is designed not to affect your site's response time.

Database Impact

SentinelSecurity uses dedicated database tables to store login history and scan results. Data is automatically cleaned up based on your retention period settings, preventing database bloat.
