Q. What should I do if license authentication fails?
A. Most cases are caused by one of these: domain mismatch, invalid OAuth token, or blocked server-to-server communication. Follow the checks below.
Initial Checks
- Confirm your WordPress site URL matches your production URL
- Confirm the server can make outbound HTTPS requests to
my.sentinel-suite.com - Confirm WAF/security plugins/hosting rules are not blocking outbound requests
Symptom-Based Fixes
| Symptom | Likely Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
domain mismatch | Registered domain does not match migrated/changed site URL | Reconnect/reactivate from the License page |
Access token is invalid | OAuth token expired or invalid | Re-authenticate from the License page |
| Temporary communication errors | DNS/timeout/outbound restrictions | Allow outbound access, then run Check Status |
| Status becomes inactive after repeated failures | Multiple consecutive verification failures | Resolve network restrictions, then re-check or reconnect |
Recommended Recovery Flow
- Open SentinelSecurity → License
- Run Check Status
- If unresolved, run Connect to SentinelSuite / Reactivate
- If still unresolved, check outbound network restrictions on your server
