License Authentication (OAuth)

SentinelSecurity authenticates your license through an OAuth connection with your Sentinel Suite account. No manual license key entry is required.

Authentication Steps

  1. Go to SentinelSecurityLicense
  2. Click the Connect to Sentinel Suite button
  3. The Sentinel Suite login page will open in a new tab
  4. Log in with your Sentinel Suite account
  5. Click Authorize this site to approve the connection
  6. You will be automatically redirected back to the WordPress admin panel, and authentication is complete

After Authentication

Once authentication is successful, the License Management screen will display:

  • License Status: Active / Expired / Not authenticated
  • Plan Name: Your purchased plan
  • Expiration Date: Next subscription renewal date
  • Authorized Domain: The domain linked to the license

Subscription Management

Renewal

Subscriptions are renewed automatically. Manage your credit card information in the My Page section of your Sentinel Suite account.

Changing Plans

  1. Log in to My Page on Sentinel Suite
  2. Open Subscription Management
  3. Change or update your plan

Cancellation

Even after canceling your subscription, features remain available until the end of your current billing period. After expiration, license-protected features become restricted.

Transferring a License

If you change your site's domain or want to use the license on a different site, you need to transfer the license (deactivate → reactivate).

Steps

  1. On the old site, go to License Management → click Deactivate
  2. On the new site, re-authenticate via Connect to Sentinel Suite

Automatic Restoration

If you temporarily deactivate the plugin and then reactivate it, your license information will be automatically restored. No re-authentication is required.

Common Authentication Errors and Fixes

Domain mismatch

  • Symptom: License becomes inactive after migration or URL change
  • Cause: Registered domain and current site_url do not match
  • Fix: Reconnect/reactivate from the License page

Invalid access token

  • Symptom: You are asked to re-authenticate
  • Cause: OAuth token expired or became invalid
  • Fix: Re-authenticate from the License page

Server communication errors

  • Symptom: Temporary license check failures
  • Cause: DNS/timeout issues, outbound HTTP restrictions, or WAF rules
  • Fix:
Allow outbound access to Sentinel Suite domains (such as my.sentinel-suite.com) and retry

License becomes inactive after repeated failures

  • Symptom: Status changes to inactive after consecutive check failures
  • Fix:
Resolve network restrictions, then run Check Status or reconnect from the License page
